Return to the Barn 48x72

This farmer was also depicted in the painting A Mighty Cold Spring, which was on the front of this page earlier this month.  He had just been out feeding his cattle by sleigh, and was returning his draft horses to the barn.  This painting represented a huge breakthrough for the complexity of the subject in an understandable space, on a grand scale, was a difficult task.
